Blend and bottle your own wine at the illustrious d’Arenberg winery in McLaren Vale.  You play the winemaker during this hands-on wine experience.  Create a truly unique wine from the distinctive flavours and textures of your own wine parcels and search for the balance, fullness and finesse that is the perfect blend for you. 

Established in 1912, d’Arenberg is one of the most significant wineries in McLaren Vale, utilising a range of traditional methods to produce distinctive wines across a number of wine “families”.

This natural and environmentally friendly approach to its vineyard practises, including minimal or no irrigation, soil cultivation, herbicides and fertilisation, ensures that grape yields are kept low with concentrated flavours and excellent natural acidity.  In the winery, the extensive use of basket pressing and foot treading continues this gentle and tightly controlled winemaking philosophy.

The winemaking team at d’Arenberg undertake an extensive barrel testing process to determine its final blends.  You can have your own blending adventure at the blending bench by working with three barrel samples of premium Shiraz to create your very own wine which is then individually bottled for you to take home. 

The hard physical work has been done – picking, crushing, fermenting, pressing and barrel ageing – so that you can have an educational wine experience that brings out your inner-winemaker in a fun and very enjoyable way.
