Adelaide Botanical Gardens

The Adelaide Botanical Gardens makes up part of Adelaide’s unique parklands that surrounds the city. Situated in the North Eastern corner of the cities green belt you can come for a 30 minute walk or stay for the day!

Enter from the gates at North Terrace and within minutes you will feel like you are another world away, hours from the city you just left. Spread over 50 hectares of immaculately maintained gardens of plants from Australia and all around the world.

If Architecture is your thing then marvel at the historical buildings as you wander the grounds. Palm House build in 1877 features palms from as far away as Madagascar, the Santos Museum of Economic Botany 1881 is designed in a classical Greek style exterior and houses a permanent collection and a wonderful array of touring exhibitions which are sure to impress.

In between all of this simply sit back and relax with lunch or simple coffee at the Simpson Kiosk. For something a little more befitting the beautiful surrounds check out Café Fibonacci and if you are after something really special book a table at the Botanical Gardens Restaurant.

At the Adelaide Botanical Gardens there really is something for everyone!
